This hedgehog got himself into quite the predicament, as our wildlife officer Phil responded to a call about a hedgehog who had got himself stuck in a garden gate in Belfast. This chunky fella, who weighed in at whopping 1.455kg, was roaming between gardens when he encountered a gate in his path and thought he might just squeeze through to the other side.
However, this hedgehog wasn’t so slick and ended up getting wedged between the gate bars. After some time and perseverance, the hedgehog finally managed to wiggle himself out and was transported to our centre in Newry for a once over by our wildlife team before getting ready to be released.
