This cygnet was found with fishing line tangled all around its beak and feet, making it difficult for this little guy to even move!

Our wildlife team were called and transported him to our centre to begin the tedious task of removing the wire. The cygnet was put under sedation, to ensure he was calm and comfortable, while our veterinary team carefully untangled the reams of fishing line around its body - which was successfully all removed!

The next day, our wildlife officer Laura transported the cygnet back to his home and he was able to be released and reunited with his family!
