After tireless work from our veterinary team, and Eddie’s own fighting spirit, we’re thrilled to say he is recovering well and has been able to return home!
You may have seen Eddie in the media recently. Poor Eddie was the victim of an appalling act of animal cruelty as a firework was deliberately attached to his tail and exploded, causing horrific injuries.
His tail had to be amputated, and he required intensive wound care, IV antibiotics, and pain relief as he recovered. Despite the unimaginable suffering he endured, Eddie has shown incredible strength throughout and he was such an affectionate, trusting boy with our team
We condemn the cruel actions of those responsible for this shocking attack. There is no excuse for such deliberate harm to a defenceless animal.
Eddie’s owners have set up a fundraiser to support his care and our ongoing work helping vulnerable animals like him.
