Deirdre McArdle
Animal Care Manager
Deirdre joined the USPCA in February 2018 and became the Animal Care Manager in 2019. At home, she has two dogs and fosters kittens for about nine months of the year. Having grown up surrounded by animals - both domestic pets and those on family farms during holidays - she developed a lifelong connection to animal welfare.
When she joined the USPCA team, Deirdre knew she could make a meaningful contribution to improving the lives of the animals they care for. Her favourite animal is the elephant, admired for its remarkable stature, intelligence, and compassion.
