Programme details
Through the USPCA Education Outreach Programme, we focus on the principle that “prevention is better than cure,” emphasising early intervention to nurture responsible attitudes towards animals from a young age. By reaching children early, our program promotes responsible pet ownership, respect for animals, and a lasting appreciation of Northern Ireland’s native wildlife.
Our engaging presentations introduce students to the history and mission of the USPCA and highlight our range of animal welfare services across Northern Ireland, fostering knowledge and awareness that inspire lifelong compassion for animals.
While this is a charitable service, schools interested in supporting our work are encouraged to fundraise or offer a small donation. Your contributions help us continue reaching more young people with our message of compassion and responsibility. Fundraising can also give students a fun activity to participate in! For creative school fundraising ideas, check out our fundraising page or contact our team at events@uspca.co.uk.

Pet Education Partnership (PEP)
The USPCA joined the Pet Education Partnership in May 2023, and are working in collaboration with eight of the leading animal welfare charities in the UK: Blue Cross, Cats Protection, Dogs Trust, PDSA, RSPCA, SSPCA, USPCA and Woodgreen.
Our shared vision is to make animal welfare education accessible to every child aged between 5 and 11 in the UK, with the ultimate goal of incorporating it into the curriculum.
