About Teddy

Teddy was admitted into our care through social rehoming and is now ready to find his new home!

Teddy is a sweet and sensitive boy who likes to take things at his own pace as he can find the big world a bit scary sometimes but he is hoping his new human best friend will understand and help him grow in confidence at a pace that feels safe and reassuring.

He can find busy and lively environments a little worrying, so quiet, peaceful walks and simple routines will help him thrive. Teddy would prefer a quieter home and while he can be initially nervous, with a bit of time, patience and kindness, his sweet personality soon shines as he does enjoy hopping onto your lap for lots of fuss once he gets to know you.

Teddy could live with one other similar-sized, calm and friendly dog who could gently guide him and help build his confidence, but he would also be equally happy as the only pet in the home, as he does enjoy soaking up all the love and being the centre of attention!

Teddy would prefer not live with young children, but could share a home with older teenagers who understand that he may need his own space at times.

Due to his nervous nature, Teddy will need a home with a secure outdoor garden. He is still a bit unsure about the outside world and can be nervous when on the lead. Once settled into his home, Teddy will need his family to help him build his confidence slowly and gradually with going outside and lead walking. He will also need help with toilet training.

Teddy would be best suited to owners who have prior experience with nervous small-breed dogs.
