About Mildred
Mildred was admitted into our care after she was found with a badly injured back left leg and pelvic injury. Upon examination, the veterinary team decided that it would be best to amputate this leg due to the extent of the injury. After several weeks of rest and care, she is now ready to start searching for her forever home.
Mildred is a beautiful girl with a gentle personality, she can be a little shy when she meets new people but once used to them, she starts to come round and enjoys a gentle chin scratch. While recovering from her amputation, Mildred has started to come out of her shell and we believe in the right home, she will continue to grow in confidence. Once settled into her environment, Mildred is a very playful girl who loves playing with her toys and watching the world go by from a soft, cosy bed.
Due to her amputation we believe Mildred would be best suited in a calm home where she could be an indoor only cat. She would love owners who understand that they may need to take it slow while she continues to build her trust with new people and in her new environment.
Mildred would prefer to live with children over the age of 12 years who are used to cats and have a sensible approach with handling. It is unknown how she would react around other animals in the home.
