USPCA Host first 2019 Charity Walk
The USPCA kicked started 2019 with a New Year charity dog walk in Drains Bay, Larne along the stunning Antrim coast.
Participants were welcomed by the USPCA team along with the Vets4Pets team who were the main sponsors of the event from 12.30pm onwards.
Walkers set off on the 2.5km route to Carnfunnock Park at 1pm and were welcomed back with a hot cup of tea afterwards. This was the first fundraiser the charity have held in Larne and were delighted with the support from the community. The USPCA hopes to build and grow this event each year.
“We would like to say a huge thank you to our main sponsors Vets4Pets Larne who were a fantastic support on the run up and during the event.”
“We would also like to thank the visitor centre in Carnfunnock Park for allowing us to use their grounds and the Coffee Doc Larne for providing us with hot water for refreshments” . Said Colleen Tinnelly USPCA Development Manager.
The USPCA receives no government funding and without the support from the general public the USPCA wouldn’t be able to continue the vital work we do in protecting animals across Northern Ireland.
We look forward to more hosting more events during 2019 and would encourage the people of Northern Ireland to get involved.
