USPCA appeals for kitten fosterers ahead of kitten season
The USPCA appeals for kitten fosterers ahead of kitten season
The USPCA is looking for kitten fosterers who can provide 24/7 care to help the charity rescue even more animals in need.
Hand-rearing kittens is tiring but incredibly rewarding as you watch them grow stronger each day. Entering kitten season, multiple litters arrive at the USPCA centre and they all require round-the-clock care.
The charities small, dedicated animal care team meet the needs of these vulnerable kittens' day and night - alongside providing care for the many other animals in the centre. The team's dedication has successfully raised so many kittens, but with admissions for 2025 expected to rise again, the USPCA needs your help!
What you'll need:
- Time to dedicate to their care (including night feeds)
- Be over the age of 21 years old
- Some experience with kittens
- A commitment of at least 4 - 5 weeks per litter
- Live approx. 30 mins from our centre in Newry
- Availability to take on a litter at short notice
Full training and support will be provided to ensure you're confident in caring for your foster kittens.
