Swan Released Safely Back to Cygnets

A member of the public contacted the USPCA today after they came across an injured Swan along the towpath in Tandragee Co.Armagh. The Swan appeared lifeless to the concerned walker.

This beautiful Swan had unfortunately caught her neck around barbed wire which ran along the towpath and was unable to move to free herself.   The USPCA Animal Rescue Officer was able to cut the Swan free from the wire and take it to the Animal Hospital for examining.  Thankfully she appeared to have no further injuries and was able to be released back to her three cygnets safely.
