More About Rex

Meet our handsome boy Rex! Rex has been with us for over a year now and is still waiting to find his forever home.

Rex is an energetic and intelligent young male German Shepherd who was brought into our care through social rehoming.

Rex really loves his daily walks where he can spend time sniffing and following scents. He loves to learn and enjoys his training sessions which are being carried out by our dog trainer and animal care team. Rex is currently learning to walk nicely on the lead, recall, tricks, and shows our team how smart he is during search games.

After a long walk or training session, Rex loves receiving lots of affection from our animal care team.

We are seeking applications only from people with breed experience or experience of large breed, high energy dogs. Due to Rex’s size and nature, we believe he would be better suited to an adult-only home, and will require a large, enclosed garden space where he can explore. We believe Rex will thrive with active owners who will provide him with all the exercise, play and training that he needs to reach his full potential.

Rex shows signs of being dog reactive and will need ongoing training to help overcome his feelings. He will need some time to adjust to a new routine in his new home and will need patient and supportive owners.

The rehoming team are keen to help with his transition from the centre to his new home with visits to the house to help with the settling in process, we believe that once settled in his new home, he will make a fun and loyal companion.
