Maya
It’s hard to believe nearly nine months have passed since we bid farewell to beautiful Maya – in August of last year she was very chuffed with herself to have caught the eye of her new owners!
Maya’s new family have given her the life that she rightly deserves, allowing lots of time for her to settle into her picturesque surroundings of Newcastle – now she has become a terrific companion for the entire family.
Often Maya can be a little guilty of some rough and tumble, forgetting her strength! While she thinks she is just a young pup, she could soon barrel over you for an enthusiastic cuddle. According to her owners she’s now weighing in at around 20 kilos and is as fit as a fiddle. Since finding her forever home she has gone on many adventures including Slieve Commedagh, Donard Woods, Tipperary Woods, Tollymore Forest, Keel Point, and Newcastle Promenade, to name a few! Although she may never develop a love for cats, she makes up for that with her great spirit, personality and love for adventure.
This little lady certainly has a few unique traits about her – she’s still not 100% on being left along and has a tendency to ‘rearrange’ the ground floor when she was initially left in her own company. Like many dogs she also loves gobbling up any food that may be left in her line of sight!
Her striking appearance would soon make her the talk of the town and very often she gets lots of attention when taking in the views on Newcastle Promenade! We often find in breeds like Maya, it’s very easy to fall in love with their beautiful eyes – in the words of her owners they tend to have that hypnotic effect!
Very soon Maya will be celebrating one year with her new family, and we couldn’t be happier for her – thank you for giving her the best life and for sharing some of your wonderful memories with her so far!
