Keeping Up with the Kittens at the USPCA
Can you help us keep up with the kittens this kitten season?
Kitten season is well underway and if you've been keeping an eye on our social media you will have seen some of these little cuties already!
Last year at the USPCA, kitten season lasted much longer than usual. In total we took in 242 sick, injured and abandoned kittens. Again, we are already seeing an unprecedented number of kittens through our centre doors and our staff and volunteers are working around the clock fostering and hand rearing to the very best of their ability to give them the best start in life.
With the demand, comes the need for ongoing veterinary care and rehabilitation, so these little ones grow into healthy young kittens and cats that are ready to find a home.
Approximately, veterinary and rehab care can cost anywhere from £750 to over £1000 for just one poorly kitten up until they are ready to find a home.
We are not a government funded organisation and our resources are stretched which is why we are making an appeal for help this season. We are so grateful for any donation big or small that will assist us with the ongoing care required!
