Hedgehog Rescued and Spending Hibernation at the USPCA
We received a call from a member of the public regarding a hedgehog that was found wandering around in the daylight in a poorly state.
Following its arrival at the USPCA Hospital, it underwent a thorough examination from the veterinary team who discovered it had almost 20 ticks feeding of it. After successfully removing all ticks, the hedgehog's weight was assessed also. As it was so late in the year and the little hedgehog was quite weak and underweight, it will be spending its winter hibernation under our care.
