Geese Rescued in Newcastle

Storm Francis certainly caused havoc across the region at the end of August. Due to the storm, one of our Animal Rescue Officers was notified of several geese that had unfortunately been swept out to sea after Shimna River in Newcastle County Down burst its banks.

After a very careful rescue operation, the geese were returned to safety and welcomed by a fantastic round of applause from the public.
