Foxes
If you find an injured fox, observe from a safe distance. Even when injured, foxes can remain very mobile and may not stay in the same place for long. You should not approach the fox as it is strong and has a dangerous bite.
Contact the USPCA or your local vet in order to get medical treatment for the animal.
If a rescue officer is able to attempt a rescue of the fox, an exact location will be needed and also if it is currently mobile.
If the fox is causing a traffic obstruction, the police must be informed on 101.
If you find a dead fox, please contact Environmental Health at your local District Council.
If you wish to attempt to rescue the fox yourself, you must only do so if you have the appropriate equipment and knowledge.
