Badgers
If you find an injured Badger, observe from a safe distance. Badgers are very strong and have a dangerous bite so do not approach.
Contact the USPCA or your local vet in order to get medical treatment for the animal.
If a rescue officer is able to attempt a rescue of the badger, an exact location will be needed.
If the badger is injured on the road, the police must be informed on 101, as it may be a danger to passing traffic.
If you find a dead badger please contact DAERA on 0300 200 7840.
The NI Badger group also collect information on badger sightings (both dead and alive) and setts at badgersni.org.uk/report . Reports are processed in line with Data Protection and Biodiversity data Guildlines. Locations of badger setts are not put in the public domain.
