Badgers

If you find an injured Badger, observe from a safe distance. Badgers are very strong and have a dangerous bite so do not approach.

Contact the USPCA or your local vet in order to get medical treatment for the animal.

If a rescue officer is able to attempt a rescue of the badger, an exact location will be needed.

If the badger is injured on the road, the police must be informed on 101, as it may be a danger to passing traffic.

If you find a dead badger please contact DAERA on 0300 200 7840.

If you wish to attempt to rescue the badger yourself, you must only do so if you have the appropriate equipment and knowledge.
