Purpose of role
Fostering is an important voluntary role that provides companion animals with temporary homes. Fostering provides a safe and secure space for animals and helps them recover from trauma such as neglect, abuse, injury or an illness. Fostering is a great alterative for animal lovers who can’t commit to owning a pet long-term.
Fostering also helps create more space at the USPCA centre so we can admit and care for those animals who really need our help.
When you become a Fostering Volunteer the USPCA will provide you with everything you may need such as food, materials, food trays, litter trays and litter required to take care of the animals. We will also provide you with support and our veterinary team are always willing to answer any questions or concerns you may have while fostering.
