USPCA Careers – Chief Executive

Established in 1836, the USPCA is the second oldest animal welfare charity in the world and its purpose has remained unchanged over that time – the prevention of cruelty and the relief of suffering in animals.

The USPCA wish to appoint a Chief Executive to be responsible for the operational leadership and development of a new strategic plan to determine the vision, mission and goals in keeping with their values and their relevancy to the community, and maintain sound corporate governance and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

The need is for a competent individual who has had previous experience at Chief Executive level or equivalent and at least five years’ experience at senior management level. We are looking for a committed professional with a third level qualification who clearly demonstrates leadership skills and has strategic planning experience. You will have practical knowledge of maintaining robust systems of corporate governance and experience of income generation and risk management.

This is a high profile appointment based at Head Office in Newry and the successful candidate will represent the organisation externally, and will therefore carry an attractive remuneration package commensurate with the gravitas of the role. To apply, please contact Trevor Hinds by email or call him on 07814284795 to make application.

Closing date for receipt of applications will be 5.00pm Friday 24th February 2017
