The USPCA is a Registered Charity and receives no financial support from government. We rely on the generosity of our members and other concerned individuals to provide the funds necessary to fulfil our charitable purpose.
The absence of government funding presents us with both a problem and a positive. The downside is evident as in common with many other Charities we must rely heavily on legacy funding and this dependence means our future cash resources are unpredictable. In order to meet our commitments good governance is essential. The benefit is our detachment from the influences of government, we are beholding only to our supporters and to the animals we seek to protect.
If you value our work please help us protect the provinces animals. They need our help. A number of established fundraising options are set out in this section and we welcome any new initiatives.
It is the USPCA pledge to use any funds you donate to prevent cruelty and relieve the suffering of animals in need.
Help stop cruelty to animals. Support the USPCA – please donate today.
The USPCA relies on your donations to provide a 24/7 service to animals. Your donations will help us to continue to provide compassionate care to animals whose welfare is compromised, lobby on animal welfare issues and to prevent further cruelty to animals across Ulster.
Donate easily and safely online and support the USPCA’s continuing work to care for Animals in Northern Ireland.
Volunteering & Careers
The USPCA is overwhelmed at the kindness and support every day of people who would like to work or volunteer at our Newry Animal Hospital, and while we appreciate the kindness and selflessness shown by supporters we don’t always have positions available.
Any career or volunteering opportunities that become available will always be posted on our website, our Facebook page and on Twitter.
Become a Member
The USPCA welcomes new members. Bear in mind a solitary voice carries little or no real influence in the corridors of power. However, the collective opinion of our members cannot be ignored. By joining the Charity you will ensure your support for animal welfare is heard in many forums including the Stormont Assembly and the European Commission.
There are two categories of membership:
Annual Full Member (either single or joint) £10 or £20
Annual Junior Member (up to age 16) £5
To add your voice please complete the form and return it together with your first annual remittance to the address shown.
The USPCA welcomes all donations. However, a regular and dependable flow of monthly income is an extremely valuable resource. Two inevitable repercussions of our currently depressed economy are a reduction in giving and an increase in need. Your monthly donation will help us protect and rescue these additional abused animals.
If you can manage a monthly donation in support of ALL animals please complete the Standing Order Form and return it to the address shown.
Single Donations & Fund Raisers
USPCA 'Collie & Lamb' collecting boxes are available for the home, workplace, shop counter etc.
A chalice style box or boxes can be with you within days. Email email@example.com or call 028 3025 1000, all you have to do is to provide us with your address/contact details and, when convenient to you, lodge the cash collected to the USPCA Charity Account.
Give us a call and we’ll arrange delivery of your 'new' pet; one that will assist us in our efforts on behalf of animals in need.
Gift Aid is a revenue concession which refunds tax paid on donations made to the Charity by UK taxpayers. It adds significantly to our income whilst costing the donor nothing! If you qualify please complete the Gift Aid form for a one off donation or have your tax paying sponsors complete and tick the Gift Aid section on the sponsor sheet.
USPCA wedding favours are a popular and worthwhile option to the usual bag of sugared almonds. Pictured below are some of the pets recently featured on our favours or if you prefer we can personalise one of our stock designs with your wedding details.
The minimum donation depends on the number of guests and we would welcome you making contact at firstname.lastname@example.org. Send us a high resolution photograph of your pet, the wedding details and we’ll create a proof for the bride and grooms approval.
REMEMBER…… It’s ‘U’ that sets us apart.
Without the foresight and vision in their lifetime of our deceased benefactors the USPCA would struggle to meet our charitable objectives.
The gifts we receive are a lifeline to countless abused and neglected animals. On their behalf the USPCA wishes to record its sincere thanks to those concerned individuals who continue to provide for animal welfare long after their passing.
If you wish to make a bequest to this Charity and its welfare work on behalf of ULSTER’S animals please inform your legal advisor of your wishes. It is very important the intended recipient is clearly shown as the ULSTER SOCIETY PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS and the Registered Charity Number XN 45066 is quoted.
Donations in Lieu of Flowers
This Charity receives many such donations and we appreciate the foresight on the part of the deceased. If you wish the money normally expended on wreaths to go to this Charity tell those family members closest to you and your wishes will be respected.
The receipt of such donations is welcome confirmation of your support for the Charity receiving the tangible benefit.
